Bride and Bridesmaid Jewelry Sets
"I want my wedding jewelry to look as though I inherited
it from my grandmother."
That was the request of the lovely Scottish bride for whom I designed this
custom wedding jewelry set. Three strands of complementary-colored pearls
- Swarovski bronze crystal pearls, Swarovski light gold crystal pearls,
and vintage cream-colored baroque glass snail pearls - nest around a
filigree embellished with hand-wired cagework of pearls in different sizes
and matching colors. The three strands were caught in back with a
delicate, gold-filled, three-strand round filigree pearl clasp. The
gold-filled earrings have a lovely cream-colored genuine pearl stud with
bronze and light gold Swarovski crystal pearl and gold-filled bead drops.
The matching bypass bracelet features four strands of Swarovski crystal
pearls and vintage glass pearls ending in matching embellished cagework
filigrees.
As a one-of-a-kind gift to her
bridesmaid, this thoughtful bride commissioned a similar set of
jewelry with smaller, slightly less elaborate cagework filigrees. The
two-strands of the necklace are set farther apart for a graceful swag
effect, and the earrings have a single pearl drop.
